Dr. William A. Dorsey, VMD
Dr. Dorsey grew up in Prince Frederick, MD. He graduated
from Haverford College in 1959, and the University of Pennsylvania School of
Veterinary Medicine in 1963. Before returning to Calvert County to open the
Prince Frederick animal hospital in 1981, he practiced for 13 years in
Bowie, MD. Dr. Dorsey lives with his wife Dotty in Prince Frederick.
Dr. Kristina L. Darnell, DVM
Dr. Darnell grew up in Wheaton, MD. She attended the
University of Maryland, and graduated from the VA-MD Regional College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She joined our practice that same year. She
lives in Huntington with her husband Dan, two cats, and three dogs.
Dr. Nancy G. Ramsey, DVM
Dr. Ramsey grew up in Buffalo, NY and Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
She graduated from the university of Rochester in 1985 and the North
Carolina College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She joined the practice in
1998, and bought it in 2001. Dr. Ramsey practiced
in Waldorf, MD for four years before relocating to Calvert County, where she
now lives with her husband Buck (a lifelong county resident), their son
Thomas, a dog, and a cat.
Dr. Cheryl A. Schmitt, DVM
Dr. Schmitt grew up in Clinton, MD. She attended the University of Maryland as
an undergraduate, and graduated from VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary
Medicine in 1994. She joined our practice in 2001. Dr. Schmitt previously
practiced in St. Mary's County for seven years, where she still lives with
her husband, Hans, their son Christopher, a dog, two cats, and a horse.
Dr. Laurie N. Giles, DVM
Dr. Giles grew up in Norfolk, VA, and graduated from Virginia Polytechnic
Institute and State University in 1980, and Ohio State University College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1983. She joined our practice in 2004 after
practicing at a number of clinics in Norfolk, Miami, and Charlotte. She
moved to Calvert County in 2003, where she still lives with her husband
Mark, their daughters Kristen and Rachel, a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs, and
a fish.
Dr. Melissa M. Reidy, MVB
Dr. Reidy grew up in a military family in different locations, but spent
most of her early years in Clinton, MD. She attended the University of
Maryland as an undergraduate, and obtained her veterinary degree from
University College Dublin in Ireland in 2004. She joined our practice in
2006 after passing her American board certification exams. She lives in
Charles County with her husband Terence, their two dogs and three cats.
